“Though I grew up in an entrepreneurial family, I never considered going into business or entrepreneurship myself. I was pre-med throughout most of my time at Wake Forest, but after some reflection and contemplation, I realized that the healthcare field was not for me. I have always had a knack for creative thinking as well as customer service and sales, but I did not really know how to hone in on these skills. After starting UpDog Kombucha, the Center from Entrepreneurship really helped me delve deeper into the psychology of business and how business relationships work. Though being an entrepreneur isn’t always glamorous, I love being an entrepreneur because it has taught me to have a thick skin, how to cultivate meaningful relationships with my customers and how to push myself in all aspects of my life.”
