Since 2004, the University Center for Entrepreneurship has
- Worked with over 70 teams of student owned and managed ventures
- Provided seed funding and grants to faculty proposals and student ventures. These seed grants are awarded to help entrepreneurial teams further research potential opportunities, develop a venture concept, and potentially launch a new venture.
- Provided physical workspace for teams to "set up shop" and work on their new venture.
- Assisted students in the pursuit of experiential entrepreneurship education by offering informal workshops and learning opportunities.
- Matched student entrepreneurs with mentors, advisors, business professionals, and industry experts.
The University Center for Entrepreneurship is to dedicated to supporting all Wake Forest students, faculty, and staff who are interested in entrepreneurship or who want to develop new venture ideas. The Center accomplishes this by encouraging innovation & creativity, providing resources to educate and to develop ideas, and otherwise empowering those involved. Resources are available to students, staff, and faculty regardless of year, degree program or campus location. The Center is equally interested in not-for-profit and for-profit new ventures ideas.
In addition to the University Center for Entrepreneurship, Wake Forest offers two other centers for aspiring entrepreneurs. The graphic below depicts the different function and resources of these centers.
