The Entrepreneurship Society at Wake Forest was officially founded as a club in the spring of 2006. This student-led organization strives to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit on campus, as well as provide a resource for students looking to start their own businesses.
Join the E-Society to:
- Connect with a network of student entrpereneurs, faculty and alumni
- Get insight into the real world of entrepreneurship through our speakers
- Develop ideas for new ventures and learn how to turn them into reality
You don't need to have your own business, or even an idea, to join. There are no membership fees or dues. All are welcome!

Speaker Series
The Entrepreneurship Society sponsors regular speaking and learning events on campus. Through the E-Society Speaker Series, students can gain valuable insight into the real world on entrepreneurship. These events are open to the students and faculty of Wake Forest University and admission is free unless otherwise specified.
CEO Conference
Each year the E-Society leads a group to attend the annual Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization Conference. This national conference, which will be held this year October 27-29 in Fort Worth, Tx, offers the opportunity to network with your entrepreneurial peers nationwide and learn from successful entrepreneurs and visionary leaders. Limited funding is available to help defray expenses of attending. (read more)
Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a week-long event celebrating entrepreneurship around the world that happens every year in November (this year it is November 14-18). It is an international event that takes place at a local level. The E-Society co-sponsors Global Entrepreneurship Week at WFU with the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship and helps plan and execute the events. (read more)
Escalator Competition
The E-Society helps to plan and execute the WFU Escalator Competition, which takes place in February. This is a business plan competition hosted by WFU for WFU students, undergraduate or graduate. There are two tracks, a traditional business entrepreneurship track and a social entrepreneurship track. The winners receive a cash prize and an automatic pass to compete in internationally renown Elevator Competition, hosted by WFU in March. (read more)
Awards Banquet
The Entrepreneurship Awards Banquet happens each year in April. At this banquet we present the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award and three Hobbs Awards for Entrepreneurship, two to students and one to faculty. The E-Society co-sponsors the banquet with the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship and helps to plan and execute the event. (read more)
