PTEN also will work more closely with entrepreneurial organizations throughout the state and region to help entrepreneurs get access to all available resources throughout the area. Action Greensboro, Winston-Salem Alliance, High Point Partners and corporate sponsors will fund the initiative, which will combine the best entrepreneurial programs of the two leading entrepreneurial groups currently in the Triad, Piedmont Entrepreneurs Network (PEN) and Triad Entrepreneurial Initiative (TEI).

P.A.N. (Piedmont Angel Network)
The mission of the Piedmont Angel Network is to profit from investing in seed or early stages companies with significant growth potential, generating a return commensurate with the risk. This is being accomplished through a Member managed LLC, whereby the investors bring added value to the process. The value is added before, during and after the investment by calling upon their industry experience, functional experience and networks.
As a result of the above, the Piedmont Angel Network adds to the capital formation effort in the Greater Piedmont Triad Region, directly and indirectly, leading to a direct impact on regional economic development. The indirect capital formation results from Members investing additional capital along side the capital being invested by the Fund. Furthermore, this investment activity attracts the attention of other funds in NC, from other states and from overseas to our region. They want to create and protect an entrepreneur friendly (helpful) environment, keep their membership diverse, and always value members over money.
