TEDxWakeForestU focuses on technological, social welfare, and entrepreneurial innovation.
Have you ever watched a TED video or heard a TEDTalk? Maybe so. Have you ever attended a TED event? No? Thousands have, and now you have the opportunity.
What is TED? TED is a conference that focuses on spreading innovative ideas. It began 26 years ago in Silicon Valley to bring together ideas in Technology, Education, and Design. Today, TED events are hosted all over the world. Innovative institutions, such as Wake Forest, can now host TEDx events-- independently organized TED events.
Why should you go? To put it mildly...you should go because you may never get this opportunity again. TEDx conferences are exclusive events. Typically people pay BIG money to claim one of only 100 seats. Our TEDxWakeForestU is not only free to students, but we've opened the doors to allow faculty, staff, parents, and members of the community to attend- up to a total of 1,000 people.
What will you get out of the TEDxWakeForestU? This is your chance ot hear a group of experts talk about their passions. You'll hear about topics relevant to today's world and be the first to learn about new concepts. It's a pretty awesome opportunity.
