CICE encourages students to consider participating in external business plan competitions. These opportunities will provide exposure and experience in pitching and perfecting new business ideas. We believe that competition is healthy for the overall growth and development of innovator as well as the idea.
- Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization Conference is held in November each year. Exact dates and location for 2016 to be announced. The deadline to sign up for the CEO Conference Elevator Pitch Competition is typically in October. Click here if you plan to attend the conference and would like to be considered to pitch your idea.
- Biomimicry and Biodesign Competition: The Biomimicry Institute’s Global Design Challenge invites students and independent professionals to address critical sustainability issues using nature as a guide. Submissions for the Spring 2016 competition will be accepted beginning November 1, 2015.
- BMEIdea offers collegiate biomedical entrepreneurs the chance to win up to $10,000 and receive critical early-stage validation of their ideas. The competition deadline will be in April 2016.
- DEBUT (Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams) is designed specifically for undergraduate biomedical and bioengineering students. DEBUT challenges teams of students in undergraduate biomedical education to solve real world problems in healthcare. Prizes of up to $20,000 will be awarded. Submissions for the Spring 2016 competition will be accepted beginning March 1, 2016. The deadline will be May 30, 2016.
