Joe Callahan is the chairman and CEO of The Ciright Companies, a software and technology company based outside of Philadelphia. Joe, a Philadelphia-native, holds degrees in engineering, information systems management and marketing from Drexel University. His career path included various programming and engineering positions at Scott Paper, General Motors, Johnson and Johnson and York International before emerging as an entrepreneur. In 1993 he founded Viewpoint Software, a company whose major accomplishment included the engineering , designing and prototyping of one of the world’s first smartphones in 1995. Viewpoint Software later became Ciright Systems and is today part of The Ciright Companies. In 1996 Joe acquired TriState Building Systems Integrators, a leading representative and integrator of commercial mechanical systems and related equipment. Over the years his companies have had partnerships with AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Ericsson and several other leading technology and telecommunications companies. His past board memberships and community service positions include the YMCA, Make-a-Wish Foundation and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Joes resides in Bryn Mawr, PA with his wife and three children.
