TEDx Team Celebrates What Security Means to Wake Forest Students

On Thursday, February 11, the TEDx team sponsored a special, pre-conference event on Manchester Plaza. Students were invited to write what they want to be kept secure, safe, and sacred on a padlock and hang it on the fencing. This piece of collaborative art will be displayed at the TEDx conference in order to illustrate what security means to students on Wake Forest's campus.

Austin Evers, Executive Director of
TEDxWakeForestU 2016

Austin Evers is a senior BEM major and Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise minor from Atlanta, Georgia. Evers explains, "Through TEDx, I have learned what it means to engage students, faculty, staff, and community members in meaningful dialogue and to encourage them to think beyond the walls of our campus and city limits.”
